About WO Mic Resource & Testing Lab
Welcome to womic.io, an independent technical documentation and testing resource dedicated to helping Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS users configure WO Mic as a low-latency computer microphone.
Our Mission & Testing Methodology
Setting up a virtual kernel audio driver and pairing a phone over ADB USB, UDP Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth often triggers firewall blocks, driver signature warnings, or sample-rate mismatches in apps like Discord and OBS Studio. Every walkthrough, latency measurement, and compatibility table published on this site is verified hands-on across real hardware:
- Desktop Test Bench: Windows 11 23H2/24H2 (64-bit), Windows 10 22H2, and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with ALSA loopback (
snd-aloop). - Mobile Handsets Tested: Google Pixel 7 (Android 15), Samsung Galaxy S23 (One UI), and iPhone 15 (iOS 18).
- Measured Audio Metrics: Round-trip latency (oscilloscope loopback click test), packet loss on 2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz Wi-Fi, and CPU/battery consumption.
